The view of St Paul’s Cathedral, the second-largest church in Christendom, across the river and the proximity of the Millennium Bridge and the Tate Modern art gallery with the wide open spaces before it give The Founders Arms one of the finest locations in London. There is a riverside terrace with seating, though customers do spill over onto the open space next to it. In addition to its outstanding location, the Founders Arms is also a very good pub, serving decent food and a superb pint of traditional cask-conditioned beer (get the Bombardier bitter). It is a beautiful place to spend a glorious summer’s evening.
