“The World Famous” Punch & Judy, as it likes to call itself, has an enviable location overlooking Covent Garden Piazza, and those few patrons fortunate enough to get one of the balcony seats are at times treated to free shows. This Taylor-Walker pub serves a range of cask-conditioned ales and typical pub food. This area was the site of London's main fruit, vegetable and flower market, but is now the location of various other markets and the London Transport Museum. St. Paul’s Church, or the Actors’ Church, lying opposite, is by Inigo Jones The portico was the site of the first Punch and Judy shows in Britain, imported from Italy.
