This must be one of London’s smallest pubs. Nevertheless, what it lacks in accommodation it makes up for in character and the wide choice of beers from around the world, as well as a constantly changing selection of cask-conditioned beers. It is owned by Utobeer, a company of beer enthsiasts, well, more fanatics really. Food is understandably limited, and appears to consist mainly of top quality Melton Mowbray pork pies from the nearby Borough Market. Liquid nourishment is The Rake’s raison d'être. One wall is covered in what looks to be officially sanctioned graffiti—the comments and numerous compliments would suggest so.
